Biss Buru, TC Sports and Dhidhdhoo Secure Dhivehi Premier League 2026/27

Biss Buru Sports

Biss Buru Sports Club, TC Sports Club and Dhidhdhoo Sports Club have secured qualification for the Dhivehi Premier League 2026/27 following Huraa Community Club’s 6-3 defeat to Biss Buru Sports Club in the DPL Qualifiers.

The result leaves Huraa with just one point from four matches and only one game remaining. Even if Huraa win their final match, they can only reach four points, ending their hopes of a top-four finish and qualification to next season’s Premier League.

Biss Buru became the first team to confirm qualification after moving to 10 points from four matches. The side also has a game in hand and remains on course to finish at the top of the standings.

TC Sports Club and Dhidhdhoo Sports Club have also secured qualification. TC are on seven points from three matches with two games remaining, while Dhidhdhoo have collected seven points from four matches and cannot be overtaken by enough teams to drop out of the top four.

Attention now turns to the battle for the final qualification spot. Gadhdhoo Recreation Club and Club Green Streets remain in contention for fourth place.

Gadhdhoo currently have three points from three matches and still have two games left to play, while Green Streets have two points from four matches with one fixture remaining.

A crucial encounter awaits on Sunday when Gadhdhoo face TC Sports Club. A positive result for Gadhdhoo would significantly boost their chances of claiming the final available place in the Dhivehi Premier League 2026/27.
