Gadhdhoo Finish Qualifiers with Convincing Win Over Relegated Green Streets
Gadhdhoo ended their DPL Qualifiers 2026/27 campaign in style with a commanding 4-0 victory over Green Streets FC.
The match was the final fixture for both teams in the qualifiers. Green Streets had already been eliminated from contention for a place in next season’s Dhivehi Premier League before kick-off, meaning the result had no impact on their fate. The club’s failure to secure a top-four finish confirms their relegation to the Second Division.
Gadhdhoo, who had already secured qualification to the 2026/27 Dhivehi Premier League, delivered another strong performance to close out their campaign, scoring four unanswered goals against Green Streets.
The victory serves as a fitting end to a successful qualifying tournament for Gadhdhoo, who will compete in the country’s top division next season. Meanwhile, Green Streets conclude a disappointing campaign that sees them drop out of the Dhivehi Premier League after failing to finish among the top four teams in the qualifiers.
