Gadhdhoo Complete Perfect South Region League Campaign

GDh. Gadhdhoo have been crowned champions of the BML South Region League after completing a flawless campaign with six wins from six matches, becoming the only regional league team to finish with a 100 percent winning record.

Gadhdhoo sealed their unbeaten run with a 2-0 victory over L. Gan on home soil in the final match of the league, ending the competition with 18 points from six matches.

The champions scored 17 goals and conceded only three throughout the campaign, finishing with a goal difference of +14. L. Gan finished runners-up with 10 points, while S. Feydhoo and L. Kunahandhoo ended third and fourth respectively.

Having already secured the title with a match to spare, Gadhdhoo rounded off an outstanding season by maintaining their perfect record and strengthening their credentials as one of the strongest teams in the regional league system.

The victory also confirms Gadhdhoo’s place in the Dhivehi Premier League qualification playoffs, where they will compete against fellow regional champions and top-tier challengers for promotion.

Gadhdhoo will be joined in the qualification round by North Region League champions HA. Dhidhdhoo, Central Region League champions K. Huraa and Male’ Region League champions Biss Buru.

With six victories from six matches and the South Region League trophy secured, Gadhdhoo now turn their attention to the qualification stage, aiming to continue their remarkable run and earn a place in the next Dhivehi Premier League season.
