Maziya Crowned Cup Winners Cup Champions
Cup Winners Cup champions, defeating New Radiant Sports Club in the final at the National Football Stadium on Wednesday night.
The victory gives Maziya another major trophy after an impressive start to the new football season. The reigning Dhivehi Premier League champions had already shown their strength throughout the revived Cup Winners Cup campaign, securing their place in the final after the group stage.
The Cup Winners Cup returned this year after an 18-year absence, with the tournament last played in 2008. Maziya, New Radiant, Odi Sports Club and Buru Sports Club competed in the revived competition.

Maziya and New Radiant Draw 1-1 in Cup Winners Cup
Maziya Sports & Recreation Club and New Radiant played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in their final group-stage match of the Cup Winners Cup.
Both sides found the net once as they shared the points in a closely contested encounter. The result means Maziya and New Radiant will now meet again in the Cup Winners Cup final, setting up an exciting rematch for the title.
With both teams having already secured their places in the final, the group-stage clash served as a final opportunity to test each other ahead of the decisive showdown.

Odi end Cup Winners Cup campaign with victory over Buru
Odi FC signed off their Cup Winners Cup campaign with a 2-0 victory over Buru FC, securing their only win of the tournament.
Odi dominated the match and found the net twice to claim all three points. Despite the victory, the result was not enough to see Odi advance to the final.
For Buru, the match brought a disappointing end to their campaign, having lost all of their games in the competition.
The final will be decided tomorrow, with New Radiant and Maziya Sports & Recreation set to battle for the Cup Winners Cup title.
Maziya, who have reached the final, will now look to finish the tournament on a high as the two sides meet tomorrow for the championship.
