Gadhdhoo One Win Away from BML South Region League Title

Gdh. Gadhdhoo will have the opportunity to secure the BML South Region League title in front of their home supporters today when they take on S. Feydhoo.

Gadhdhoo have enjoyed a perfect campaign so far, collecting 12 points from four matches to sit at the top of the standings. A victory against Feydhoo would see them crowned South Region League champions and confirm their place in the next stage of the competition.

The title race remains mathematically open, with L. Gan occupying second place on 10 points from five matches. However, a win for Gadhdhoo today would put them out of reach of their closest challengers and seal the championship.

Current standings:

• 1- Gdh. Gadhdhoo – 12 points (4 matches)
• 2- L. Gan – 10 points (5 matches)
• 3- S. Feydhoo – 7 points (5 matches)
• 4- L. Kunahandhoo – 0 points (6 matches)

If Gadhdhoo fail to secure all three points today, they will still have another opportunity to clinch the title on the final matchday of the league. Their last fixture will be against second-placed L. Gan, where even a draw would be enough to guarantee the championship.

Should Gadhdhoo claim the title, they will join North Region League champions Ha. Dhidhdhoo, Central Region League champions K. Huraa and Male’ Region League champions Biss Buru Sports Club in the Qualifier Round for the next edition of Dhivehi Premier League.

With the title within touching distance and home support behind them, Gadhdhoo will be eager to finish the job today and become the fourth regional champion to book a place in the Qualifier Round.
