Maldives Name Final Squad for Diamond Jubilee Tournament

Hosts Maldives have announced their final squad for the upcoming 2026 Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament, with a mix of experienced stars and exciting young talents included for the four-nation competition in Malé.  

The tournament, organized to celebrate 75 years of Maldivian football, will feature Maldives, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh from June 1 to 10 at the National Football Stadium.  

Veteran forward Ali Ashfaq headlines the squad once again, alongside experienced names such as Mohamed Faisal, Ali Fasir and Amdhan Ali. Youngsters including Mohamed Ilan Imran and Ahzam Rasheed have also earned places in the final team.  

Maldives will open the tournament against Afghanistan on June 1 before facing Pakistan and Bangladesh in the remaining group matches.
