Pakistan Midfielder Rahis Nabi Ruled Out of Diamond Jubilee Tournament

Pakistan have been dealt a major setback after midfielder Rahis Nabi was ruled out of the remainder of the Diamond Jubilee Tournament due to a knee injury sustained during the team’s opening match against Bangladesh.

The injury occurred during Pakistan’s goalless draw against Bangladesh, with medical assessments later confirming that the midfielder will be unable to take any further part in the competition.

In a statement, the Pakistan Football Federation confirmed that Rahis suffered a significant knee injury and will now begin a period of recovery and rehabilitation.

“Pakistan midfielder Rahis Nabi sustained a significant knee injury during the team’s opening match against Bangladesh and will unfortunately miss the remainder of the tournament,” the federation said.

Rahis has been an important member of the Pakistan squad and his absence will be a significant blow as the team continues its campaign.

The Pakistan Football Federation expressed its full support for the midfielder and wished him a speedy return to action.

“Rahis has been an important part of the squad, and while his absence will be felt, the entire Pakistan football family stands firmly behind him during this period. We wish him a successful recovery and look forward to seeing him return to action as soon as possible.”

Pakistan will now have to continue the tournament without one of their key midfielders as they prepare for their upcoming fixtures.
