U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers: Maldives Drawn with Myanmar, Brunei and Sri Lanka

Maldives have been drawn alongside Myanmar, Brunei Darussalam and Sri Lanka in Group K of the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers.
The official draw ceremony was held in Kuala Lumpur today, with Myanmar confirmed as the host nation for Group K.
The qualification tournament will be played between August 25 and September 6, 2026 in a centralised league format.
Maldives will begin their campaign against Brunei on August 31, before taking on Sri Lanka on September 3. Maldives will conclude the group stage against hosts Myanmar on September 6.
A total of 32 teams in the Qualification Phase have been divided into eight groups of four teams each. The eight group winners and the seven best second-placed teams will qualify for the 43rd edition of the AFC U20 Asian Cup.
Meanwhile, the bottom-placed team from each group will be relegated to the Development Phase of the subsequent edition.
For the Development Phase, 12 teams have been divided into three groups of four, with the three group winners and the three second-placed teams earning promotion back to the Qualification Phase for the next edition.
The AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027 is scheduled to take place from March 24 to April 10, 2027.
